The Next Generation of Health Care Heroes
“Your support has not only made a significant impact on my life but has also reinforced my belief in the power of compassion and the importance of giving back to society.”
The next generation of passionate health care leaders begins at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health.
Our medical, graduate and health professions students explore areas of medicine in a variety of settings – from University Hospital and other regional medical centers, state-of-the-art laboratories to community clinics. They join residents, fellows and postdoctoral students in learning from a faculty of internationally acclaimed teachers in more than 25 basic science and clinical departments.
Contributions to student scholarships help in the following ways:
Financial gifts support students by helping to fund their tuition and other education expenses, lessening the stress related to the financial burden
They allow students the opportunity to pursue research, projects and ideas that may shape the future of health care
They provide medical students the freedom to choose a specialty based not on compensation, but on inspiration
Tyler Vang is a recipient of the School of Medicine and Public Health Scholarship, who shared, “Receiving this scholarship is a dream come true and a turning point in my journey toward becoming a health care professional. Your generosity has lightened the financial burden on my shoulders, and I couldn’t be more grateful. I am committed to honoring your generosity through hard work, dedication, and a sincere commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others. Your support has not only made a significant impact on my life but has also reinforced my belief in the power of compassion and the importance of giving back to society.”
Gifts to support scholarships ease financial burdens and leave a lasting legacy that will impact promising students and the patients and communities they will serve.
